Mayoral is an art gallery specialised in modern and post-war art, founded in Barcelona in 1989.
The gallery has an exhibition programme focalising on the great avant-garde artists of the 20th century, including Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí; the founders of the Dau al Set movement, like Antoni Tàpies, Joan Brossa and Joan Ponç; and other great artists with a special tie to Catalunya, among which there is Alexander Calder, René Magritte, Marc Chagall, Eduardo Chilled, Manolo Millares, Antonio Saura and Luis Feito.
The gallery develops rigorously commissioned projects, as a result of an exhaustive research and documentation process. It counts on the collaboration of artist’s families, as well as collaborations of foundations and other institutions whose mission consists in preserving and spreading the artist’s legacy. In the same way, it counts on the trust of private or institutional museums and collectors.
